Education and Experience
David Aylor graduated from the College of Charleston with a degree in political science. From there, he attended the University of South Carolina School of Law, earning his juris doctorate and going on to pass the bar exam immediately upon graduation. He gained valuable experience as a criminal defense attorney and as the acting prosecutor for the City of Hanahan, South Carolina. By seeing cases from both sides, he learned what victims need and how to best approach the justice system to be their voice and their advocate.
With additional experience as an Assistant Solicitor in the Ninth Circuit Solicitor’s Office for Charleston County, David gained valuable perspective on public matters. Clerkships for the South Carolina Senate Judiciary Committee under Senator Glenn McConnell, U.S. Magistrate Judge Robert S. Carr, and Charleston attorney Andrew Savage III followed and gave David additional depth and understanding of the nuances of the legal system and the details that can make all the difference to the individuals that he represents.
